Nice out door seating. They ask if you want sun or shade. Steamers and lobster mac n cheese were great. It is a cash only place

Ok, so we got there on there penultimate day of operation for the 2017 season, and will now have to wait until St. Patrick's Day 2018 for them to reopen. Long wait! But, it will be worth it! We only tried a couple of the chowders (NE Clam, and a Spicy Crab) but they were amazing! Full of flavor, rich, and chock full of crab meat, clam meat, potato's, and everything needed to make them fantastic chowders. I didn't order a lobster roll (which Joe - our helpful and friendly server - told us was 'world famous') but I saw one go to another customer. And it was so loaded with lobster meat, I'm sure it earned every penny of it's $26.00 price tag.

It's all about the location here. Casual and pleasant despite the cars whizzing by. Nice staff too. I've been a few times and I don't regret going but wouldn't recommend it mostly because the food is overpriced for what you get. Clam strips are all breading, the ketchup tastes cheap and the mac and cheese is soupy. The specials could be more interesting with some local fluke, tilefish, skate or bluefish but the only possibly local fish on the menu Friday night were tuna and swordfish.

We ate at the bar on stools, but there were also tables set-up on the side. During the high months (May thru September) I'm sure this road-side eatery is packed with people. Make sure you are one of them next year!!

For lunch I had the tuna over greens. Simply grilled and a salad with tomato and cucumber. Dressing was on the side. So delicious. The tuna was definitely very fresh. So simply grilled was perfect to taste the fish. Nice outdoor seating and a nice breeze. Just remember it's cash only. Enjoy!!!

Great little shack on the east end of Hwy 27. Great grilled tuna sandwich!! Huge!! Stella was served cold. The best day and lunch.
